It is becoming increasingly popular to employ live musicians to play both for the civil ceremony, pre-reception drinks & meal. Great results can be achieved with our pianists, harpists, guitarists, saxophonists string & musical ensembles, which can be combinations of pianist, cellist, harpist, violinist etc. and of course the full monty - THE STRING QUARTET. NEW for 2010 is our BABY GRAND PIANO HIRE - complete with pianist, adding a real touch of class (please call us for full details). For weddings with a Scottish flavour we can provide a superb piper, in full highland regalia & if your venue has a mediaeval theme we have a wide choice of costumed mediaeval musicians playing the instruments of the period. This can be very romantic & also offer you some superb photographic opportunities. We can provide you with the facility to play your own pre-recorded music at the wedding ceremony. For this we offer a small speaker system which is out of sight and operated at pre-arranged times to ensure the smooth presentation of that special music for the ceremony. Sound systems can also be provided for speeches, particularly in marquee events, when there may be the necessity for amplified sound, for example if there are a lot of guests present & especially if the speeches coincide with a rainstorm! |

| A fine foursome, classically trained with a flexible repertoire & over 10 years 'Wedding' & 'Corporate Event' experience. |
Pre-Ceremony: Our string quartet playing in the bar or lounge is the perfect background for family and friends to catch up with news before the wedding. We suggest approximately half an hour. The Civil Ceremony: Live classical music played by Sounds Interesting for a quarter of an hour before the wedding creates the perfect mood whilst awaiting the bride’s grand entrance! We will play for the bride’s entry, during the signing of the register, and for the exit of the bridal couple. Sounds Interesting has a wide range of non-religious wedding music to choose from. We usually allow about half an hour for a Civil Wedding ceremony. The Drinks Reception and Photographs: Sounds Interesting play indoors or out, weather permitting, and move swiftly and easily between the two. We usually play from our popular repertoire for the drinks reception to include lighter music choices. Approximately one and a half hours is allowed for drinks and photographs, slightly longer in the summertime. The Wedding Breakfast: The string quartet provides perfect background to meal time conversations, and means your guests have soothing music to listen to as they enjoy eating. We usually allow one and a half hours for a wedding breakfast up to speeches. The Church Wedding: Sounds Interesting play for twenty minutes before the wedding ceremony to create the perfect atmosphere in church as friends and family gather. We then play for the bride’s entrance, during the signing of the register and the exit of the couple. We are happy to accompany hymns and can liaise with the organist over choice of music if you wish.
Approximately three quarter’s of an hour is allowed for a church wedding. |
